Delete your Wandermi account

Delete it from the app

1. Open Wandermi and sign in.
2. Tap the gear icon (Settings) at the top of the screen.
3. In the ACCOUNT section, tap “Delete Account”.
4. Type the confirmation word shown on the screen and tap “Delete My Account”.
5. Confirm with “Delete Forever”. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want a copy of your data, first use “Export My Data” in Settings.

What we delete

• Your account and sign-in, profile, username, profile photo, year of birth and travel preferences.
• Your messages, your conversations with the AI assistant, your “How you travel” profile and your trip memories.
• Trips you created that do not pass to a companion, with their plans, stops and photos, disappear from the app immediately. Trips with nobody else in them are permanently deleted within 30 days. If a trip has companions who never accepted your invitation, or photos by other people, only the trip plan and the other people’s photos remain, without your name; your photos and your journal are deleted.
• Trips you share with companions who accepted your invitation stay with them, and one of them becomes the organiser. Your private trip journal is deleted and your name is replaced by an anonymous marker in the trip’s history.
• You leave other people’s trips. Your photos, comments and likes in shared trips are deleted.
• Reviews, ratings, comments and replies you wrote; place photos you uploaded; the reports you made about content and users.
• Crowd reports and their locations, gem nominations and check-ins, your points and leaderboard entry, share links and notifications.
• In our analytics warehouse, the records linked to your account are deleted; in other people’s trips where you appear as a companion, your identifier is removed.

What we keep, and for how long

• Backups: deleted data may remain in our database backups for up to 8 weeks; after that the backups are deleted automatically.
• Statistics by place and time with no identifiers, and the tags you sent about places, which are not linked to your account.
• If you uploaded place photos: the record of your acceptance of the Conditions for photos of places, for up to 10 years after removal, only to prove the licence.
• Reports you made about photos and the related moderation records required by the Digital Services Act, without your identifier or the text you wrote.
• Service emails we sent you: deleted 30 days after sending.
• Records still being written at the moment of deletion: deleted within a few hours.
• Data we are required to keep by law or by order of an authority, only for as long as required.
